Due to the altered circumstances, the seven concerts comprising this year’s festival shall all be streamed online, directly from the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta, the Robert Samut Hall in Floriana, and the Grandmaster Suite at the Hilton Hotel in St Julian’s.

The first concert, on the 24th of May, shall feature renowned cellist Gautier Capucon, who shall be accompanied by the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Principal Conductor Sergey Smbatyan. This will be followed by a performance featuring award-winning cellist Andrei Ioniță on the 25th of the month, who shall also be performing alongside the MPO.

The following day, May 26th, will see world-renowned pianist Vadym Kholodenko giving a solo recital, with the pianist also delivering another concert on the 27th of May, this time in collaboration with the MPO. The much-awaited piano trio performance, consisting of Kholodenko, Ioniță, and the highly esteemed violinist Alena Baeva shall then be broadcast on the 28th of May.

Baeva shall also be featured on the penultimate day of the festival, with the violinist’s performance alongside the MPO set to be broadcast on the 29th of the month. Finally, Daniel Lozakovich shall close off the festival on May 30th, with a concert in collaboration with the MPO.
